CD-RW and SuperDrive

A few days ago I attempted to burn some audio files onto a CD-RW I had laying around. The SuperDrive on my MBP (in description) wasn't able to do it.

Can I only burn onto CD-R's?

The SuperDrive is able to burn onto CD-RWs, I can and and did. Is the CD-RW empty? Did you erase it via Disk Utility yet?

Didn't erase it via Disk Utility. I figured it would be able to overwrite previous data. I'll try that tonight - thanks for the input.

EDIT: Yup, erasing the disk beforehand with Disk Utility is all that was needed. Cheers.

No, you need to erase old data, or at least "Quick Erase" (not actually deleting it) to be able to write to it again.
