Hello I have version 2 of this and i have been using it for recording Old tapes etc to convert to mp3 etc, its simple, straight forward, handy little program.
When 1 records into it, when you have finished it makes a wave of it ready to edit and there is a handy option of Auto find tracks (silence parts between them), I want to use this option but on a c.d or file I have, but it wont, it has to do a recording in or you can work on a previous file and that's it.
So
Q1: Can you get round this somehow?
Q2: Is there an alternative simple program about, that I can just bung a c.d in or use an existing file of a c.d without track marks and select an option like auto find tracks to find and mark em and then just burn it?

I use to use Cool Edit Pro 2 (Adobe Audition) for this but strangely it's not available for mac, despite being an Adobe product.

Someone suggested using Garage band, but that seems like a long winded way of doing such a simple task.

Many Thanks for any help given.
:)
