Can anyone help me?

A CD is stucked in my iMac, I have tried all possible solutions that are posted in the internet, none works!

What can I do?

So you tried flipping it sideways and letting gravity do its job? Maybe adding a tiny shake here and there?

taking it apart... i wouldnt recommend that though.

what methods have you tried?

tried holding the mouse button down when you push the power button and let it boot up?

If it is a software problem, then this will fix it.
If it is a hardware problem, then you will probably have to take it in.

u cannot be serious... are you?

there must be another more professional way..huh?

I'm being serious, I had to do this to my parents white iMac. They had a stuck DVD and it wouldn't come out after pressing the eject key. Even tried restarting and holding the eject key as it booted. Nothing worked. The iMac was out of warranty so I just picked it up, flipped it on its side and gently shook it while pressing the eject key.

I was careful not to shake it too hard because of the hard drive, but I taught them how to do daily back ups so I wasn't worried about it failing. Plus, if I had to ... I would have purchased them a new iMac.

Anyway, have you looked at the comments in this article from TUAW? There is a suggestion of using a thin cardboard and another similar to what I did to my parents Mac. Most of these fixes seem like they are for laptops, but it should still work on the iMac.

I have tried every different option I have found in the internet... some examples that I followed are posted in this link, but none has worked...

Please some help!

Try taking it to the Apple Store. If you have Applecare, then use the number to make an appointment, if you need too. They will help!

Good luck!

That doesnt tell us anything... If you listed specifically what things you ahve tried it would help. I seriously doubt you have tried everything on the internet and your searches are likely to bring up different results than ours...

As people have said though. This is likely a hardware failure. You will probably need it replaced.

Sorry to bring this back, but before taking my computer for service I want to be sure there is nothing else I can do.

I have tried several things (And yes, I really have tried every option I have found over the internet)
