I'm trying to rip some CDs into my dad's MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.3, and I'm having problems with it.
When I'm connected to the internet, the CD spastically shows up and hides on the desktop a few times a second for at least 10. In the end it doesn't mount and just leaves 10ish WebDav drives which can;t ve opened with "Audio CD" as the name.
However, when I disconnect it from the internet, it mounts properly but without all the names.
So when I rip it while it's offline and try to get the track names later, it tells me that CDDB is not accessible at the moment. When I try to get CD covers it fails with -609 too. Therefore, I blame it for this trouble.
I'm using a 3G modem and I don't know the FUP though (I assume it's 4GB), that's why I'm hesitating with updating.
Is there a way to fix this? A cache to be cleared or something similar? That would mean to get it working properly, as it should, not just switching some features off.
Many thanks in advance,
Joná
