I am trying to remove the above message from being displayed on the VZW iphone. I am using it as an itouch and have no intentions on activated it on a line. The phone is jailbroken, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

thanks for response

How do I hacktivate since its CDMA and not GSM?

Any help you can give would be fantastic.

I believe there is a custom 4.2.8 bundle available for pwnagetool. However, since I've never used it, I can't say for sure if it will hactivate the phone.

You didn't mention it so I have to ask, but did you plug the phone into iTunes? I've had some non-activated (service) and bad ESN VZW iPhones go through the iTunes activation just fine.

Shoudl have been more clear

I must apologize, I should have been more clear. The phone is activated and I am using it right now. However, frequently it prompts me to contact the carrier because it doesn't have an active line attached to it.

I am looking for a way to make that message/prompt/notification disappear.

Have you tried leaving it on airplane mode?
