CDR kaput?

tray ejects automatically everytime I starts my QS733, and it will remain open. and the drive does not read any ****.

Do that means that my drive is kaput?
 
no

no it means check ur ide cable to the drive and replace it to see if that helps or reinstall your os and try cleaning the laser with those cd cleaning disks to bring it back to life only after these steps can u consider a drive dead :)
