I'm trying to use cdrdao to make an exact copy of an audio CD. I have my configuration set up to use IODVDServices and the generic-mmc driver, and I am typing "sudo umount /dev/whatever" to unmount the audio cd after I put it in, then "cdrdao read-cd whatever" to read the CD. The CD spins up, and it seems to be reading fine for about the first 18 seconds of the CD. Then, it just stops reading. The counter stays at 18 seconds, the CD keeps spinning, but nothing else happens. I tried leaving the computer for two hours, and when I came back, it still said the same 18 seconds, and the CD was still spinning.

I hit ctrl+c to get my prompt back, but the CD was still spinning. I closed the terminal, CD was still spinning. I couldn't eject the CD, or do anything with it. I flipped the lid shut, putting the computer into sleep, and when I opened it up again, the CD was no longer spinning, and I was able to eject it.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
