CDs Won't Play on G4 but Will on PB

About 30-40% of the CDs I put into my G4 desktop will not mount/play, but same CDs will mount/play on my Powerbook....which leads me to believe (duh) there's something wrong. Can I 'clean' the heads? Any options at all? Thank you!
