Cell phones /Mac

Hello-

I am looking into buying a new cell phone and want to get a PDA type smartphone. I can not get an iPhone because I use Sprint and changing carriers is not an option. So my question is, what Sprint smartphone do you use with your Mac? (I currently have an iMac G5)

Did a search in helping my get over my iPhone lust, and came across your post. Your thread and mine in looking for Mac help in looking at cell phones and carriers seems to be lost in the iPhone hype.

So I am doing a bump of your thread, with some thoughts as to what I am looking for as well:

- Probably will stay with Sprint, though Verizon switch is possible for me. EV-DO seems to rock over Edge on ATT

- Sprint seems most friendly about "part-time" tethering to a laptop

- Would like a phone that can tether to my MacBook, and possibly to my G5 iMac

- Would like analog cell phone roaming (at least on the Sprint network)

As you are probably doing, I am looking for real world experiences....
