Hiya -
This happens randomly, about every 20 minutes, while using my Sony Bluetooth headset with my iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.0.1.
The audio in my headset drops.
It doesn't pause or kick to the built-in speakers.
When I look a the phone the cell signal bars say "Searching..." and then goes back to normal. (I'm thinking WiFi probably bounces too.)
The Bluetooth doesn't reconnect.
If I put the phone in Airplane Mode and then turn Bluetooth on and connect, I don't have any problems.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance - JD

Sounds like you have 3G turned on and you are in a borderline area where it is trying to switch back and forth. Mine does the same thing if I turn 3G on at my house.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, if 3G is a little weak, my phone just says "searching", and doesn't switch to Edge. Turning 3G off always fixes the problem, for me. I only switch 3G on now, if I'm going to be using data, and WiFi is unavailable.

EDIT:
I just read your other post, you didn't mention that you were JB.
If the phone is JB, I suppose it could be any number of things....Good Luck.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Pardon my not mentioning the JB.

I don't think it's 3G as I always have 3G and mobile data off.

I'm in South America using a pre-paid Claro SIM.

I'm not sure why the reception drops and affects Bluetooth.

Thanks again - JD
