This can't be good for MS and Ballmer must really be feeling the heat, though he probably bought himself some wiggle room with the Nokia deal.

WinMo is still outselling win7 phones, that in of itself is shocking. I like what win7 phones have to offer but so far they've not really captured the hearts and minds of the consumer. It will be interesting to see if Nokia can produce some sexy phones that will ignite some interest.

Gartner to provide us with their best estimate. 3.6 million of the world's smartphone sales in the past quarter were counted under the Microsoft mobile OS umbrella, of which 1.6 million featured the very latest WP7 software
