I have had several apple watches but the new ultra is my first cellular version. Help me to understand a few things please. I activated it tonight through AT&T which is my phone carrier. I received a new line for the watch. Question, if I call someone through the watch will it show up on caller id with this new number and if someone calls me do they need the watch number? Seems I have 2 phone numbers now, original iphone number and now a number for my watch. Guess I thought it would just piggyback off of the old ipone number. Any help??

The new number is just a placeholder for your account. I tested calling another household phone from the watch and it shows as must my main number that is on the phone. This will be important for my upcoming Europe trip. I will be paying on the daily plan per phone on the account and am ok paying for 2 lines but not 3. It is very handy being able to text each other when in strange cities.
