So I have a table (see attached screenshot) that is a key part of my presentation. I would like it to look like a normal table, except it doesn't lol. The text and the numbers are way to low in the boxes, such that you can't really see the comma separators in between the numbers, and the "g" is cut off in "refrigerator", "lights", and "heating system". Does anyone know how to fix this and center the text in the up/down direction as well as the left/right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is using Keynote '09 btw.

Select Table. by clicking on the side of it.
Format bar > after the Font and size are Four Text alignment boxes > click the one you want.
Next on the format bar are the three cell alignment boxes > Top, middle and bottom, the middle one usually works best.

Select Table.
Inspector > Table > Table > Tick automatically resize to fit content which alters the height of the rows for you or set the height you want.

Have fun

Yea I did both of those, but the text is still squished on the bottom. I tried selecting "automatically resize to fit content," but it wouldn't let me make the boxes any smaller than 45 px is something like that, which is way to big.

I'll try to recreate this, but I'm wondering if your cells are just too small? If you manually drag the cell down, making it larger, does the text center in the cell, or remain cut off?

Try a different font. If you cannot make the boxes less than 45 and aligning to middle doesn't work then the font needs more room/height than you are giving it..
