Hey, I apologize for this being in the wrong section but I am curious if anyone knows if Apple has a procedure for high profile people that visit their stores. I indulged myself in a visit to the store yesterday and as I browsed, I noticed a high profile CEO walk in. He said something to one of the greeters and then was quickly whisked away to the back. I couldn't help but wonder about some gold-plated room in the back, specifically for HPP (high profile people lol) where they served wine and cheese while waiting for a repair to your device.

Cool question, who was this CEO?

I'll be respectful of the guy's privacy enough not to name him but he was a Fortune 500 guy. I know that doesn't narrow it down much but if you're in that group, does it really matter? I think most people were oblivious to him but he stood out because he was in a nice suit. I've heard of celebs in California and NYC stores, but I just thought it was kind of cool.

Any celebrity will receive special service. I remember seeing Dez Bryant in the North Park store in Dallas, the employees were all over him. He bought a bunch of people iPads too.

It actually reminded me of a Frasier episode that I remember from the 90's. The brothers Crane finagled their way into an exclusive spa. While enjoying the spa, they were dismayed when a VIP walked in and was escorted to an "unknown" part of the spa reserved only for special people. They of course sneak in and it's even more elaborate and fancy than their section. Gave me a good laugh when I thought of that.

The same guy thats being sued for not paying his hundreds of thousands of dollar bills. Typical.

This proves it. Apple Stores are run by the Stonecutters!

Interesting story. It's very possible that they could have been introducing him to their business team.

There was a story a few months ago talking about this. If you are a business executive or owner there are rooms in the back Of Apple stores for sales and technology consulting. The company pays a fee to use this exclusive service.

Anyone have experience seeing other CEOs in Apple Stores, or other stores that received special treatment?

Saw Howie Mandel with his family at the Apple Store in Topanga Mall last year, just sitting at one of the station getting his iPhone 4 activated. That same day, also saw Ray Romano with his family having dinner at Gyu Kaku in the same mall. People were running up to Ray to have pictures taken.

I remember when a somewhat high profile customer came in, the store leader personally assisted her.

As for celebrities, I don't think Apple will clear out a store just for him/her.
