I just walked in to the Best Buy in Cerritos (off Artesia blvd. near the 91 Fwy) and bought a black 16gb wifi. They have another one. It is in the apple section of the store, inside a locked glass case, next to a set of (it looks like) previously owned ipad 1s.
I left the store at about 8:30 p.m., unless someone picked it up before the store closed at 9 p.m., it should be available tomorrow morning.
No matter what they tell you, I recommend you walk up to the glass case and check for yourself, because the first guy I asked said they didn't have any available except for pre-orders. It wasn't until I saw the units in the case and asked a manager that I was able to buy it.
