Certain emails don't appear in Mail

I've been using Apple Mail to access my gmail accounts for years through POP, and it has been flawless. But for some reason, recently only certain new emails have been appearing through Mail. I don't know if it is a trend, but the corporate emails still show up, but the personal emails are not downloaded. I don't even know I have them unless I sign into gmail directly through the website.

It sounds like these are two different accounts, correct? Are you sure the settings for the personal account are correct in Mail's preferences? Are you looking at the combined Inbox or ones for the individual accounts?

I'm sure the settings are correct; it's worked for years. I'm looking at both combined mailboxes and the individual mailboxes. Some particular emails just aren't downloaded for me to view through Apple Mail.

have you checked to see if gmail is labeling and filtering those as junk e-mails? that's what happens to me so i can't download those from apple mail.

Nope, when I sign into gmail, the emails appear in my normal inbox.
