Has anyone else had a problem with, since updating to Leopard, with parts of the UI ceasing to work? I can't tell if it's the UI per-say, or if the system is doing something like losing the event key for that program.

Example:
I currently can not create a new mail window.
All buttons (Reply, Forward, etc) as well as menu items will not create a new window. cmd-N does not produce a new window either.
However all other parts of the UI appear to work. Wtf?

In Safari I sometimes lose the ability to enter text. This happens both in normal operation as well as most recently while searching a webpage. Command key shortcuts work, switching to a different app and typing works, but I lose the ability to type in Safari. Usually switching out of the App, Typing in a different program, and going back to Safari works.
Again, all other parts of the Safari UI work perfectly during this phenomenon, and my system appears stable and responsive.

Holy... So I just restarted mail to try and fix the problem listed above, and upon starting ALL THE NEW WINDOW COMMANDS CAME THROUGH. This has the result of littering my screen with mail windows. Frick. Mail quit fine, and launched fine. I know that mail wasn't auto hiding the new windows. Nothing was showing in the dock. However, I did not look in Mail's "Window" menu to see if they were listed.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Am I alone with this problem?
