Certified Apple iPhone 5 USB Chargers

Is there anyway to figure out if your USB cable is certified? I bought an Auvio 6ft cable for 21.99 at Radio shack and am curious as to whether its cool to use or should I return it? I forgot about how after market chargers can go through a lot of crap. Suggestions?

Never heard of the cable causing problems.

Fake Charger however, there is FAQ on Apple.com, I just forgot it. Try Google "iphone charger 3rd party buy-back"
