My battery is kinda awful, was hoping 5.1 would be released before this JB release so only tweaks would be needed....now its released, what are chances 5.1 is fixed for JB before release now?

Also, if it is fixed, how long until a JB for 5.1 is released...I am going to JB for 5.01 in meantime, but crossing my fingers...

id say 100 percent, bet its the first thing they fix now before 5.1 release....which makes me sad

It's already know it has been fixed in b3, but apple in the past has left expoits unpatched.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I'm staying on 5.0.1 until the jailbreak is available for 5.1. Whatever 5.1 brings, most likely it will be available in Cydia...well aside battery life fixes, etc.

5.1

I honestly don't think there will be a jb for 5.1 anytime soon, I don't know if they're doing a new IOS this year like every other IOS i haunt seen anything about ios6

There won't be one anytime soon, especially since it requires finding a new hole in the OS, hoping it is exploitable, and gets enough access to the underlying filesystem to inject the exploit into the kernel. Very tough to do, now that Apple really upped their game.

It is possible, but it's going to take time.. a LOT of time.

When the A4 untethered was released, ion1c confirmed that the exploits he found in 5.1b2 were different from the ones used by pod2g and that they have not yet been patched
