My G5 is less than a year old, but I had to replace the keyboard last night becuase it was almost impossible for me to type on the original without throwing it through my display.

I've never spilled anything or did anything too weird to the original.. what are the chances that I can take it in and get it fixed or replaced? Or will they laugh in my face about it?

I'm guessing if you have AppleCare it should definietly cover devices that came with the computer as well as the computer itself. Better to call them and ask, this way if they laugh, the people around you won't join in. ;)

Should not be a problem

I got Apple to replace amouse for me that was 11 months old.

It has nothing to do with Applecare if you are within the standard warranty period.
