I am going to get my iMac in January and I know that when Leopard was released a lot of the BTO iMacs had Tiger pre-installed and came with a Leopard drop-in disc. I am hoping that wouldn't be the case if people go to the Apple store, mess around with an iMac with Leopard, buy one only to get home and find out they have to install it.

Was the Leopard drop-in disc thing only occuring with BTO iMacs?

Another reason I would prefer to get one with Leopard pre-installed is because I will know it is a "newer" one that hopefully won't have to be patched do to the freezing issue.

I am pretty sure that by January you will not have to install Leopard yourself on a new machine.
