I know Verizon said it would have low band nationwide by the end of the year and the iPhone will be announced in September or October but what are the chances it supports low band for Verizon? I’m sad to know my future Fold 2 won’t as it will be dual 5g bands but no Verizon love ....

From tomsguide.com

“Verizon isn’t standing still either; the carrier says that it is doubling its mmWave coverage from 30 cities to 60 cities by the end of the year. It will also expend coverage in the 30 cities already launched, and Verizon says that it will offer mid-band 5G during the third quarter of this year. Plus, Verizon just turned on 5G upload speeds, which is about 30% faster than uploads over 4G LTE.”

Is verizon deploying midband this year?? I thought it wasn’t. Hmmm

From phonearena.com

“All four iPhone models are expected to support both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G signals. The former is the technology favored by T-Mobile and AT&T for their nationwide 5G networks while the latter is favored by Verizon. The low-band 5G airwaves travel farther and penetrate buildings better. The high-band spectrum can only go short distances and has trouble penetrating structures. However, mmWave produces much faster 5G speeds.”

We shall see lol. I’m impatient I know lol.

Goodnight!!!

In day to day use, 5G (or the lack thereof) won’t make any real difference right now. It is all spec numbers for people that chase them.
