I've made the jump from OS 9.2.2 on a beige G3 to OS 10.4 on a quicksilver recently and I can't find any way of getting certain things to behave the way they did in OS 9.
I used to have certain filetypes set to download to disk, then view with application. Realplayer, mp3s in iTunes, WMV in Windows media player etc... It was easily set up with the internet control panel and worked fine.
I can't find a way of doing this with OS X.
I link to a .mpg, It view it in safari with the quicktime plug-in
I link to a .wmv, it streams it with windows media player without downloading it to disk.
Is there a way to rectify this?
