On my old poopy windows machine, back in the days of Winamp. I had a plugin that could change the speed, pitch, and tempo of any currently playing song.

It didn't save them, but allowed for some fun while listening to music.

Is there any current OS X 10.4+ application/plugin that could achieve the same effects?

I don't require fancy DJ software that costs $100+

I figure it is a simple thing, as winamp had it for some time (for free even) but Cannot seem to find anything.

I'm pretty sure audacity is what you're looking for.

I use it all the time to slow down and modulate songs. It's really simple to use aswell. I recommend it. :)

i remember using audacity on windows for ringtones -- i'll check it out.

Thanks
