Change Desktop Background When Logging In Not Working?

Hi,

Does anyone else have a problem with having your desktop background change automatically when logging in? I have an ACD (Apple Cinema Display) connected to my MacBook Pro, and when I logged in this morning, my desktop background picture on either screen did not change, even though the option was checked.
