iPod touch Change IPOD touch name?

double click the name under devices in itunes
then it will become highlighted and u can rename it
if u still dont get it send it to my house and ill ship it back
maybe we can trade u give me urs to rename and ill give u mine to put jailbreak and iphone games on there

hey,
are you talking about in the upper left hand corner on the ipt?
If so, those are image files... they are actually your carrier.
There are several posts on how to change that.
If you can find it post back and Ill look it up for you

u have to clcik the box that says manually manage my music and videos then double click the box where the ipod thing is on the side
if u do it when it is set to automatically sync, nothing will happen

I am trying to find out how to change the upper left hand corner on the ipt...it says ipod...how to change it?
go to itunes, after ipod mounts double click on the name under devices and you can change it there.
Unfortunately that just changes the name of the synced device, not the name "ipod" in the upper left-hand corner.

Changing the name on ipod touch

I think what you are referring to is the name that appears on the top when you go to Settings->General->About. If so, the way I changed mine was by connecting my ipod to my computer and opening up itunes. Your ipod will show up under devices. You can double click the name of your ipod and it will allow you to change it.

ok so i recently bought this ipod touch off of my friend and i then purchased the texting app but when i send texts they send is his name which he has on the ipod touch, now im aware that you can change the name in itunes but im not given the option at all, on the left side it says devices, then it just says Ipod and im not given an option to change the name of the synced ipod
