Hey,

I noticed that many forum members give a link with a name. So for example I would link a video to youtube with http://www.youtube.com/user/arjen92#p/a/u/1/7DuT4VXNIBk
But others would show a blue link with "check this video" and when you click on it it will send you to the same page.

Another is on this page: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/805289/ where the itunes store and the link to the contest are words and not url strings.

I have the idea there's a website that can do it for you, but I can't find one. So does anybody knows an easy way to achieve this, or even a website that does this for you. Or is there a way in the formatting window of this text?

Type the words you want to use instead of the link itself (e.g. "check this video"), highlight them with your mouse, click on the
createlink.gif
icon and then insert the link target.

There's also

Like this.

Hit the quote button under my reply to see the code.

It's in the form [ url= paste link ] words [ /url ] but leave out the spaces.

edit: This method works with any platform using html/*ml
