ny somewhere
been wondering about this for a while. when i open a quicktime file (especially an audio file), it opens on the upper left of the desktop. is there any way to set QT to open in the center by default? (as that's where i always wind up dragging the window).

feel like there's a plist or something to edit to do this. anyone?

I’ll quote myself
Some preinstalled apps can be moved and remember the last position. QuickTimePlayer is not one of them.
Compare QuickTimePlayer with Calculator, that has NSWindow Frame Calc_Main_Window
defaults read com.apple.calculator
defaults read com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX
Rectangle can be used to quickly move windows https://rectangleapp.com
IINA can be used to play music files https://iina.io

thanks for the link, didn't find that in a search. for me, movies and audio always open on the left. so it goes...
