Are there any tweaks that will let you change Safari's default font size?

The iPad mini desperately needs this functionality.

Totally agree. I've very good eyesight thankfully but slightly larger fonts mask some of the shortfalls of the lower res screen. I was hoping FullscreenSafari may have added such a function but alas.

Yeah, landscape font size barely cuts it, but in portrait, it needs to be larger.

Hopefully someone will make this tweak, maybe even allow different values for orientation.

Yeah, I find myself using Reader whenever its practical but that's obviously useless for forums etc.

That bookmarklet to increase size temporarily (until page is refreshed) is handy in the meantime, if you weren't already aware of it;

I have the bookmarklets already, it's just annoying to have to use them every page I go to.

I've tried iCab, and it works fairly decently with it's text size plugin, but I prefer safari.

I've tried lots of different iPad browsers over the years and I've come to the conclusion there's no perfect browser. For me, it's just the case that Safari has the least irritations than the alternatives with the added bonus of iCloud (kind of essential cos I'm spread across several devices) and faster on non-jailbroke devices. With Nitrous installed Chrome comes pretty close, and ideally I'd adopt that as it's what I use on desktop, but there's several things that irritate me about it's iPad incarnation, the handling of bookmarks and no bookmark bar chief amongst them.
