change startup screen?

Does anyone know if and how to change the startup screen in leopard?
the sci-fi is really cheeeezy...

if you just delete that .jpg the screen stays the same blue as just before the desktop appears

yep pretty much that's it. If you want a different image just copy it to that folder and name it DefaultDesktop.jpg.

Keep in mind that if you have any custom calibration on your color settings it won't be applied at the logon screen. You'll get the default imac setting.
