change the menu bar and its text?

well i guess like most people i like to customize my mac. so i was wondering how i could change the color of my menu bar to black and have the text (the apple and the file,edit ect) to white. i have custom icons and docks but this has eluded me. i have tried to change the bar to transparent and have the wallpaper behind it be the color i want but that doesn't help change the color of the text and i doubt its the best solution. so thanks in advanced

I would guess that most people are like me, and don't choose to customize their Macs. But, that's just me figuring I'm normal.
