Is there any way to change the way iTunes stores its music?

I use Shoutcast to stream album from home so I can listen to my choons from work but if I want to listen to a compilation album it makes things a little difficult because of how iTunes stores its music.

Currently, all my music is organised in folders by artist which is fine, for the most part, until it comes to a compilation album, where the songs are then split up into different folders for each artist.

Any ideas?

If you go into the preferences section and deselect the manage my library for me option you can put the song in any folder structure you want

You can fix it by...

1. Selecting all the songs you need to change
2. Right Click > Get Info
3. Untick the Compilation tick-box at the bottom

:)

Make sure the "part of a compilation" tag is checked, and those albums will be grouped as such: Compilations/Album Name/Track Name.m4a
