Change the width / padding of a pinned tab in Safari

I'm looking to make the size of pinned tabs in Safari a little wider to be able to click the right one with a little less precision.

I believe I once saw a quick guide online on how to do this in Terminal, but now I can't find the guide. Is this something that is still possible? Anyone know how to use Terminal to target the padding on a pinned tab?
