Change type Color in Adium Message window

under the preferences when you go into the message window settings, you can change the font, but how do you change the color of the font. I can't seem to find that.

Adium > Preferences > Messages. Then text display, click the set font button...this should bring up the Font panel...the color is the T with the bright green square next to it. That should work.

Edit: But of course I just went to try it and it doesn't.

Ahh....click the gear in the lower left and select Show Effects.

However, I couldn't get it to work like I thought it would.

I found this page on the Adium site. But it looks like it is for adding color/style to text in individual messages and not setting a default color.

Just curious...when you set the default using that button, does it set it for both outgoing and ingoing messages or just the messages you send?

Just the messages you send. You can set the incoming font here...

The font yes...but it doesn't seem to want to allow you to set a color to the font.

How do I change the incoming color from an IM? I can set the font, yes, but I want the color to be the same as my outgoing color (which I am able to change).

I'm a new mac user, having the same issue. Finally figured out that if you select the color wheel, then QUIT from Adium and start it up again, the INCOMING message colors use your last color selection.
