changed bash to tcsh in gui MAC OS 10.5.8 how to chage back to bash?

Hello everyone,
I've changed /bin/bash to bin/tcsh now the OS does not load, but terminal loads with no problem.

Tried to change the tcsh back to bash with chsh -s/bin/bash -
got this message:
Changing shell for root.
launch_msg(): Socket is not connected
chsh: Unable to open Directory node with name /Local/Default. Unable to open node.

Anyone have a suggestion, or can help?
