hello,*guys...

I*didn't*find*any*post*similar*to*this,*so*I'm*starting*a*new*one.

I*have*this*macbook*white*late*2009.*One*day,*åfter*an*accident,*the*display*shattered*completely.*Finally*I*bought*an*used*one*(lcd*display)*and*replaced*it*myself.*

It*worked,*but*now*my*keyboard*went*crazy.*When*I*press*the*"h"*key,*this*symbol*appears*instead:*"˙"*(same*when*I*hit*the*option*key)...

Also*a*lot*of*strange*characters*like*a*cross*when*a*hit*"t",*a*round*d*instead*of*d,*same*with*the*f,*etc...

Hmm...

Is this the only case when they appear?

P.S. Just to be on the safe side: Go to System preferences->Languages and Text->Input sources and check what language mapping your keyboard is currently set to...

why so many asterisks in your post

The thread title. I suggest you read it. :rolleyes:

OP, I'd also check the Input Sources / Keyboard settings and make sure everything checks out. if anything it seems your spacebar key somehow was mapped to an asterisk instead of just a space. :\
 
Daaaannnggg.... Never seen that before.... Hmmmm... Yeah check input language.

Also are you saying you changed your actual laptop screen itself? If so might want to check the keyboard connection make sure that it didn't accidentally moved slightly out of place.
