changed display resolution keeps resetting to standard after reboot

Hello,

i have a problem with my macbook pro retina 13 inch with OS Yosemite.

everytime i change my display resolution to 1680x1050 pixels, it changes back to the standard value after rebooting my system.

what is the problem? can anybody help me to solve this annoying issue?

Try repairing permissions and reboot. SE that helps.
