I've done a clean install of 10.8 on my macbook pro mid 2010 15".
Trying to set up a time machine on it using an old time machine-hdd.

In 10.7: TM saved to External hdd/Username MBP.dmg/backups.backupdb/Username MBP/

In 10.8: TM saved to External hdd/backups.backupdb/Username MBP/

How do I change the location of the TM-backup? I want the TM to continue to backup in the same folder so that I can see the old files when I enter Time Machine. I want to save the backup in the "backups.backupdb" inside the .dmg-image (as in 10.7).

I've initialized Time Machine disks in both 10.6 and 10.7 and had the disk layout you describe for 10.8. What you're showing for 10.7 looks like it was a Time Machine disk that was used for network based backups.
