I have been downloading some files for the past few days and during the process I decided to rename the external hard drive that the files are being downloaded to. Now I cannot see any of the files that are in the process of being downloaded.

Any help with this?

But can you see the files once they are downloaded? There's no use in seeing files that aren't completed yet. So what's the problem?

Ultimately I would just re-aim your download preferences (in whatever programs) to your renamed hard drive.

I reaimed my download fields in the actual torrent client. However, I did this in the a few minutes after I actually changed the name of the drive and I was in the middle of a download. The download that was in progress is still downloading to the drive under its old name (which I guess doesnt exxist anymore). It has disappeared from the drive altogether.

Is there a way to retrieve these downloads?

Ok, try doing this:
Go into the terminal and type in "ls -al /volumes" (without the qoutations). Is there a folder with the old name of your disk?
