Hello all,

I´d like to put in 3gb of RAM in my 2.16Ghz C2D MBP, and I´m wondering if putting in a 2GB stick Corsair MAC RAM together with one of the original 1GB sticks will be a problem? Should I buy a 3GB kit instead? I remember my ol´e iBook having some problems because I original new RAM together with replacement RAM.

Should I be fine with just leaving one of the old 1GB sticks.

You will be fine with the 2g new and 1g old.

I remember my ol´e iBook having some problems because I original new RAM together with replacement RAM.

Not possible? iBooks only take one stick of RAM.

but it clearly said 765mb Ram or something to that effect. That would mean one 512 and one 256 chip.

Thanks for the reply btw!
I guess I´ll just order the 2gb chip for my MBP the, sweet prices these days
