Hey there,
So I put a nice fast SSD drive in my Mac Pro.
Problem: it's only 128 GBs and my i-device backups are sucking huge space.
Has anyone tried changing the default location of those backups from the main MacIntosh HD to another HD?
My iTunes is stored externally on a RAID, but the default backup is to the main HD.
I'm on Lion, latest version of both it and iTunes. These instructions are Windows based, but Mac terminal instructions are in the comments - there appears to be a problem with the Application Support. Not sure if that was fixed.
Or maybe someone has written a script or something to fix this? I find it annoying we can change the default location. I don't mind the backups taking up space, but I do mind the ever decreasing amount of space on my HD!
lol
