MP 1,1-5,1 Changing boot disk with keys does not work!

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my mac pro 5.1 mid-2010 mojave player. It won't let me choose disk/USB boot with the keyboard.
I used an Apple keyboard and a USB OCPL with Monterey, plugged directly into the mac pro 5.1 player.
I tried resetting the PRAM, and that didn't work either.
Any opinions or advice?

What keyboard are you using? I suggest a wired keyboard during installation work.

Try the keyboard wired directly to the rear USB ports

The original GPU has been sold. I might try flashing the RX580 or hacking GOP. I don't know what it is or how to do it, but I'll look into it. The firmware on the Mac Pro is 144.00.
