Changing Date / Time on ibook when you can't access System settings

Any ideas ? when i switch my ibook on it says that the date is set to 2001 or earlier and so i need to change the settings
I can't physically access the settings - any help much appreciated

I have the same problem with a friend's iBook. Did you (or anyone) ever find an answer?
