Changing fill colours: Excel Mac 2004

Hi

I'm trying to create my own colours - to use filling in pie charts in Excel. I go to Excel preferences > colour > modify > and using the CMYK sliders I adjust the colours on the palette to the particular shades I want.

However, when I press save, the colours always adjust and come out slightly different. When I go back in and check the CMYK slider percentages, each of the four have changed. I've done it time and time again, and always it adjusts itself to something slightly different.

Can anyone offer any advice?
