Changing Finder Icon issues

I was successful on changing my Finder icon via LiteIcon, but my original Finder icon was substituted for a generic application icon. I see this icon whenever I get a warning when emptying the trash or changing a file extension.

What would I need to do to change it to my new Finder icon?
