Changing Finder's Background

well i recently figured out i could change my finders background to a picture by going to show view options. however i cant seem to find an option to apply the change to all windows. am i missing it or is there no option to do this?

im using leopard 10.5 btw

In the view options window, make sure use as defaults is checked. It's at the bottom.

is there anyway to change finder's font color?? its hard to find a background picture that makes the folder names still visible
