Hey all. I'm trying to change the folder background in a theme, but nothing's working. (Apple changed something around in 4.2.1)

3GS running 4.2.1

I can get the folder icon to change, but not the folder background image.

Changing FolderSwitcherBG.png in your theme used to work, but not now. I've placed it here: \Bundles\com.apple.springboard but no dice. I've renamed it FolderSwitcherBG~iphone.png and still nothing.

Note: I've placed a FolderIconBG~iphone.png in the same directory and it works as expected. Just can't get FolderSwitcherBG.png or FolderSwitcherBG~iphone.png to show up.

Any pointers?

Found it:
delete com.apple.SpringBoard.folderSwitcherLinen from:

/var/mobile/Library/Caches

if there is more than one delete them too and respring, if a respring doesn't work delete them again and reboot

Thanks Sedrick, been trying to figure that one out for a while.

It also works if u just add something like a .bak to the end of the files instead of deleting them incase u want to use them again.

I really think Apple is up to something (themes perhaps) with all these changes. Doesn't make sense they'd go to all this trouble otherwise...
