I just changed my Google password and then found that the password cannot be changed for an existing Google account in iOS.

I was forced to go into Settings > Apps > Mail > Accounts > Google account, delete account, and then re-add it using my new Google password.

Previously, there was somewhere in Settings where one could change one's Google password without having to delete and reconnect the Google account.

Am I right that this is gone now? Or did I simply fail to find the new way to do this?

This is the screen I'm talking about, by the way.

Even on iOS 17.7.2 there is no way to change the password for a mail account.
Only possible way: Delete and re-add the account. Apple - it simply works!

That's just absurd. I can't believe it. There used to be a way to update that password, I'm not sure how many iOS versions ago.

You said it. It just works. What a joke!
