There was a thread nearly a year ago that showed where Apple has hidden all of the icons for the OS and most of the applications where you could go in and find the icon that represents what your computer is whether it is an iMac or MBP, or MB, or MacPro, etc. I have searched these forums high and low for that folder path to get to those icons with no success. If anyone knows what I am talking about and can help that would be awesome.

i'm not sure where to find it on your own computer...
but you can go to www.interfacelift.com and there are icon sets for just about any machine you might have. (as well as other devices, peripherals, applications...)

http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1867

that is a link to macbook/macbook pro icon set.

you might already know this, but to apply it to your HD you find the icon within the folder you download, ctrl+click on it and click 'get info', click the small icon in the top left corner so it glows blue, cmd+c (to copy), now 'get info' for you HD, click the icon in the top left and cmd+v (to paste).

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I am still looking for the ones that Apple has hidden in the OS too tho if anyone remembers that thread. There are a TON of great Apple stock icons in there.

Thanks
