I know you can change the display to greyscale, but is there a way to have all the icons and faces as one monochromatic colour like say a tint of blue.

Even better would be to be able to colourize single elements. So imagine all icons in greyscale with only the Music icon in blue.

This would be a great way of providing more customization, but not ruin the ’Apple look’. Although I suspect this in itself is too much for Apple and they prefer a grid of colorful icons.
 
If Apple would implement every single feature that every single person wants, it would be an over-complicated, bloated mess.

This is almost certainly coming in the next version of watchOS.
